Devotion Day #3 : HOPE (Things of Eternal value)
Have you stopped hoping?
Maybe you've faced various trials that seem hard to bear or too hard to overcome and you feel like just giving up. This makes me look back to the story of Joseph who kept hope in the promise that God had given him in a dream as a child. He always had better things to hope for, because he knew who had given him the hope in the first place. Never forget where your hope comes from. Never forget where your help comes from (Ps 121:1-2). And most of all don't loose this precious hope.
Hope is a virtue and strength to those who will walk with her. It is in the time of trial where hope can show its strength. Our hope is our faith's bestfriend. Hope will give us the extra push needed to endure any situation until we see results of our faith.
I challenge you to let hope be produced in your life. Let it never wither. Let it always believe the report of the LORD and not the report of your circumstances. Let Hope comfort you in the valley and in desert places. Let hope give you the spiritual vision that produces the faith that is possible to please our Lord with(Heb 11:16). For we cannot have faith without pure hope first being produced, because faith comes from hope. (Heb 11:1)
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
Let hope abide in me from today and here on out. Enlarge my hope to new territories in you, that it may produce belief and faith that is pleasing in your sight. I surrender the carnality of disappointment and disbelief and submit to a life long lasting hope in you.
In Jesus' name. Amen.
