Perfect? By who's Standards?

It's not about being perfect.

And what I mean by that is the world has its own standard of what perfect is.
Often times society or even people close to us will create a fictitious standard that they want everyone to be or measure up to. If you don't meet that standard then something must be wrong with you, you're not included and don't fit in. Some go as far as to say you're not good enough if you don't do what they do, how they do it and when they do it.
I've seen this kind of thing engulf people's lives and totally consume them. To where they begin living for people and living for the approval of society. They want so bad to fit in in a certain place that they let go of themselves, their character and their own personality and begin to imitate those whom they feel society says are 'the ones" to follow.

We shouldn't strive for that kind of perfect. It's flawed in its nature. It's set up to keep people unsatisfied, insecure and running around trying to please everyone but God.
The Bible has a type of perfectness that it talks about when the Lord says "BE perfect for I am Perfect. Matt 5:48" The world will try to make people perfect by their standard. But if you ask what is "Perfect" in the world's standards you'll find out that it's not What the word of God says. And you'll find out that the world's version of perfect changes with the seasons. See we as followers of Christ have to stick to what the word of God says. Our Gospel, our advice, our truth Comes from God's word. "And if they preach another gospel to you than that ye have received let him be accursed.Gal 1:9" (Ref vs 9--11). If the world is telling you to be a certain thing or live a certain way that causes you to not be AUTHENTIC in Christ then you should stray from those things.

Fit in?
We aren't supposed to fit in with the world. "Be not conformed to this world Rom 12:12" "Come out from among them and be ye separate 2Cor 6:17". You shouldn't even consider putting aside who God made you to be just so you can be and live according to what the World is telling you. The personality that God gave you and approved for you (As long as lined up with God's word) is perfect in His eyes to use for His glory.
Holiness is still right even if no one else wants to live it. Ref(1 Peter 1:16)
We weren't created to be clones of this world. We were created to be like Jesus and to let Him transform us daily.
Trust Him, that He can use you even if you aren't like those who are in the "IN" crowd. REMEMBER you were grafted "IN" by God.  Ref(Rom 11:17)

I've seen people admire another person so greatly that they begin to become them unknowingly (Mannerisms, personality, everything).
God wants to use YOU! Not an imitation of someone else. He created you for a specific purpose. Becoming like Christ should be our main focus. We don't want to lose ourselves in the pursuit of trying to be accepted. The moment we measure our live's based on the world's standards we begin to drift into error. We weren't created to live our Christian lives identical to how the World lives their lives. If they operate in fear, we must operate in faith. If they operate in Lies, we must operate in truth. If they operate in pride/false humility we must be clothed in humility. If they Opperate in Flesh, we must operate in the spirit. "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Heb 12:1,2" Amen.
I encourage anyone reading this to strive to Look to God for your identity.
Who's opinion do you value more, God or man's?
Strive for that intimate relationship with Jesus where His love begins to overide all else.
I challenge you to Love God and yourself enough to Love and BE who God created you to be!
I Love you All! God bless you!
